Affiliate Quality Guidelines for Kayak Sites

Kayak has a number of affiliate programs. We love our affiliates, and are happy to share advertising revenue with the vast majority of them that bring qualified users to the Kayak experience.

However, it has occasionally happened that a few substandard organizations or individuals huge losers have found ways to abuse these programs. We want it to be clear that we don't stand for this kind of foolishness, and we won't pay affiliates who try use trickery or deceptive and/or annoying practices.

What's annoying and deceptive?

• Sending spam with links to Kayak to bring in unqualified trafffic.
• Using adware or other malware to activate popups, popunders or other automated means to direct browsers to Kayak.
• Using non-click (e.g. mouse-over) events to create popups or otherwise direct traffic to Kayak.

If you find a site that is trying to direct you to visit Kayak in an annoying or intrusive way, chances are it is someone trying to abuse an affiliate program. Please capture as much information about the situation as you can, including any relevant links or email headers, and report it to us. If we trace it back to an affiliate, we will terminate our agreement with them.
